Last morning in Toronto, Canada!

Dear diary, 26.july 2010

Well, this is it. Goodbye Canada!

I have a little time to spare before we’re heading to the airport, so thought I chould write little in my journal. Just wanted to say that I had such a fun time, and I'll definitely come back to Canada. What an exciting place. This has been three wonderful days, which I will not forget.

Day 3 in Toronto,Canada!

Dear diary, 25.july 2010

Oh my god! No words can explain how exhausted I am right now, earlier today I caught up with Jane (do you remember that I mentioned that I was meeting her while I was here in Toronto?) anyway, I met her at a cafeteria, and we talked for almost two hours. After our long stay on the cafeteria, we shopped for hours at the Vaughan Mills. It is absolutely fantastic range of shops here (imagine me in heaven, hehe) the only drawback is the insanely long queues, but it was all worth it.

Later tonight my family and I are attending at a baseball game, and I’m actually excited. This is a bit strange, because I don’t understand the game. The baseball game is probably the last fun thing we’re going to do, before we pack our stuff and head back to Norway first thing to morrow.

No I’m going to enjoy my last night here in Toronto, I’ll write more when I’m back in little Norway.

Day 2 in Toronto,Canada!

Dear diary, 24.july 2010

Oh my god, it is amazing here. I love it!

Toronto is actually quite similar to Norway, except that they speak English, and it is a little nicer here.

Very pretty, as you can see on the pictures.

What we did today was so artist

ic and exciting! My little brother plays hockey, therefore it’s great that we’re in Canada, which is the home country of hockey. That is also one of the reasons why we went to vi

sit The Maple Leafs Gardens today, which is Toronto’s maple leafs stage (Toronto’s official hockey team) they now play their home games at the Air Canada Centre, at Bay and the Lakeshore. But they used to play their home games at Maple Leaf Garden

s, at Church and Carlton. After we had seen around, we went to the shop were they sold supporter equipment, and if you know me well, you probably know that I’m the all-time tourist. So I had to live up to that and bought myself a jersey! Too bad that it’s the end of the season.

We also went to see the famous CN tower today. DAMN, it is insanely high. Dad said something about 554 meters. I have NEVER seen such a high building in my life before, it’s amazing. I really wonder how they managed to build it.

Mom nags at me about hurrying up no, because we’re about to go out and eat, and I’m still writing here. I’ll write more for you tomorrow.

Day 1 in Toronto,Canada!

Dear diary 23.july 2010

Today my family and I landed at Toronto Pearson Airport, in Canada. We landed quite late, so we did not get much spare time, because the flight was insanely long. We checked in at The Hilton hotel, which is located in the down town area, in the financial district. We were hungry when we got to the hotel, so we went out to search for somewhere to eat. We didn’t find anything attractive in the area, seeing as we were surrounded by bankers and bars, so we continued walking until we reached Chinatown. There we found a great restaurant; the King’s Noodle House! Man, was that good! That was the only we managed to see of the city, before we went to bed.

I’ll write more for you tomorrow.

The day before Canada!

Dear diary 22.july 2010

I look forward to tomorrow, because we’re going to Canada. It will be so much fun! We are only in Toronto for four days, because we’ve been in the U.S. for such a long time, and Mom and Dad need to go back to work. I am actually visiting one of my best friends in Canada, Jane Francis. She is also in Toronto, visiting her family. I look forward to meeting her again. I’ve really looked forward to the Canada trip, and I’ve found a lot of facts. Hihi.

One of the facts was that that the Canadian flag is known as “The Maple Leaf”, and the flag consists of a white center field with a stylized 11-slot maple leaf on a red background, but you probably knew that. Before this flag was used, there were three others.

Well; this was it, and I’ll write more for you tomorrow.
